About

After losing her beloved Stuart and Athena just 10 weeks apart, writer Annette Jackson found solace and therapy in writing about her life with them and the impact they both made in their short, yet fulfilling, lives. These writings quickly evolved into children’s stories, which assist children in processing pet loss and grief.

Originally from Illinois and raised in a family of veterinarians, Annette is no stranger to taking in and caring for dogs who need homes. She now lives in San Diego, California with her husband, Lorne, and their dogs, Hazel and Diesel.
